Thanks to an overwhelming response from Natural News readers and Health Ranger Store customers in response to the Health Ranger Store fundraiser for Texas hurricane victims, together we were able to raise over $60,000 in aid and relief funds for those in need.
Today, we are announcing the funding distributions and final donation amounts. Checks are being dispatched to each of these organizations today and will likely arrive over the next 1-2 days.
We owe a special thanks to all who participated in this groundswell of support for Texas hurricane and flood victims. Thank you for supporting the Health Ranger Store and our efforts to raise desperately needed funds for those in need. Here’s how the funds are being distributed:
Total donation amount: $63,218.79
Corpus Christi Food Bank (serves Corpus Christi and Rockport): (http://www.foodbankcc.com) – $20,000
Galveston County Food Bank (serves Galveston and Houston): (http://www.galvestoncountyfoodbank.org) – $20,000
La Grange Food Pantry (serves Central Texas): (http://www.lagrangefoodpantry.com/) – $5000
Tzu Chi Foundation in Houston (http://tw.tzuchi.org/en/) – $15,718.79
The Sean Ashley House, a Houston-based care facility for children with autism, blindness, mental retardation and other disabilities (http://www.seanashleyhouse.org/) – $2500
All organizations receiving these funds are 501(c)3 non-profits, and each of them is working directly with victims of Hurricane Harvey. Checks are being sent out today via Fedex, so if you are working with these organizations, please allow 1-2 days for these funds to arrive.
We do not donate to “scam” non-profits like the American Red Cross. 100% of our donations go to local groups with near-zero overhead.
Thank you all so much for your generosity in helping us raise these funds! Here’s my thank you message to all:
